Eminem's Recovery Track List Revealed: Lil Wayne, Rihanna Guest

Pink also appears on album, due June 22.

First, Eminem opened up his circle of producers to include Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin and Mobb Deep's Havoc on his June 22 album, Recovery. Now, the album's track list has arrived via RapRadar.com, and it finds Slim Shady collaborating with a cadre of artists he's never worked with before in his career.

Pink, Rihanna and Kobe, a singer who appeared on Fabolous' last album, highlight the list of guests on Recovery, Em's follow-up to last year's Relapse Lil Wayne is the only other guest who appears on the album. The two lyricists collaborated previously on Wayne's rock-leaning project Rebirth, but they've never traded rhymes with each other on the same song; on "Drop the World," Wayne sings for the most part aided by Auto-Tune, and Eminem delivers a rap verse at the end of the number.

The lead single from Recovery, "Not Afraid," premiered a month ago and quickly established that Eminem was back. The track debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, making the rapper one of only a handful of artists to achieve the feat.

The cover artwork for Recovery debuted earlier this week on the rapper's website.

MTV News' request to Interscope Records to confirm the track list has not been returned as of press time.

Recovery track list, according to RapRadar.com:

1. "Cold Wind Blows"
2. "Talkin' 2 Myself" (featuring Kobe)

Eminem Helped T.I. Through His Prison Term

"Em personally reached out to me, and we been speaking ever since, especially since I went through my situation [with having to go to prison]. [He would] just kinda remind me that 'I've been through dark period in my life too. You're gonna make it. You're one of the ones we need, so you're gonna make it. Stand tall and walk the walk.' He just made it a point to always reassure me of the spot that I hold in this thing that we got called hip-hop. It was incredibly helpful. It was incredibly noble of him, in my eyes, to even take the time out to reach out to me."

-Atlanta rapper T.I., speaking to MTV News about the friendship that developed between himself and Marshall Mathers while Tip was incarcerated. T.I. said the bond began simply as a business thing. "My management reached out to his management," he said. "Just in hopes of getting him on a record. He wrote me since I was in the joint. We've spoken several time since I've been back home. We maintain a healthy relationship." Despite the differences in their upbringing and their backgrounds in the music business, Tip thinks he and Eminem are a lot alike. "If you are able to take that experience and learn from it, and you're willing to grow from it, accept the part you've played in it and move forward, I think you're a better person," he said. "That's something that I can see he's experienced that I've experienced, that we both share in common."

The relationship has paid off in the form of a song that the pair will record for T.I.'s upcoming comeback album King Uncaged, which is due to be unleashed on August 17. The pair previously collaborated on "Touchdown," a banger from Tip's 2007 smash hit T.I. vs. T.I.P.

Bizarre Takes Off The Shower Cap to Reflect On Battling Eminem

Last week I had the chance to go check out Bizarre tear down a packed St. Andrews in Detroit. I was very surprised that his stage show was very entertaining. Before his show at the historic St. Andrews I sat down with the D-12 rapper and discussed a bunch of topics. After listening to his new album "Friday Night At St. Andrews" I noticed that Bizarre was a little bit more serious on this album. He felt like he didn't want to go down in history as the Weird Al Yankovic of rap. He also told me about the time he battled Eminem, and we even discussed the recent tragedy of Aiyana Jones and the lost of his friend and fellow rapper Proof.

My time in Detroit was very eye opening to say the least. Bumping into Bizarre in the hallway of the luxurious MGM Grand Detroit, I realized that Bizarre is weird, but totally comfortable in his skin and he is love in Detroit like New York loves Biggie. After seeing his performance, I can definitely understand why.
Bizarre talks about stepping his rap game up and battling Eminem.

Eminem's 'Not Afraid' Enters Billboard Hot 100 At #1

Recovery track is only 16th single to claim that feat in chart's 52-year history.

Add another triumph to the long list of achievements for Eminem. The Detroit lyricist will land atop the Billboard Hot 100 on Thursday, when his latest single, "Not Afraid," debuts at #1, marking only the 16th time in the chart's history that a record has premiered in the lead slot.

According to Billboard, Eminem has now joined a select group of artists that includes Michael Jackson ("You Are Not Alone"), Whitney Houston ("Exhale [Shoop, Shoop]"), Celine Dion ("My Heart Will Go On"), Lauryn Hill ("Doo Wop [That Thing]") and Diddy ("I'll Be Missing You"), among others.

Mariah Carey leads the pack with three songs having debuted at #1 on the chart, "Fantasy," "Honey" and her collaboration with Boyz II Men, "One Sweet Day." "American Idol" has impacted the charts in a big way in recent years, as tunes by Clay Aiken, Fantasia, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks have also opened in the Hot 100 top spot. And the last artist to accomplish that feat was Britney Spears, whose 2009 hit "3" reached the chart's summit in its first week.

"Not Afraid" is Eminem's first offering from June 22's Recovery, the follow-up to last year's Relapse. Late last month, Eminem announced the single via Twitter, writing simply "I'm Not Afraid."

The song debuted online April 29, and on the track Eminem acknowledged his bumpy comeback after a five-year hiatus, calling his last album "ehh," before promising better material on the upcoming Recovery. "To the fans, I'll never let you down again, I'm back/ I promise to never go back on that promise," Em spits in the second verse. "In fact, let's be honest/ That last Relapse CD was 'ehh'/ Perhaps I ran them accents into the ground/ Relax, I ain't going to do that now."

Eminem, Jay-Z set to team up at Comerica Park

Rappers plan double September concerts
It's a hip-hop home run: Superstar rappers Eminem and Jay-Z will play a Comerica Park show on Sept. 2.
The blockbuster show is part of a two-concert stand that will include a Sept. 13 date at New York's Yankee Stadium -- a home-and-home series for Detroit's Eminem and New York's Jay-Z.
Eminem will headline the Comerica Park show, with Jay-Z in that slot for the New York date.

The two announced the concerts live on ESPN during the third inning of Wednesday evening's game between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees at Comerica Park. They wore their respective teams' gear and earlier posed with Tigers players on the field.

"We had talked about doing something together again soon anyway," Eminem told ESPN's Dave O'Brien and Rick Sutcliffe. "We just tried to come up with the best way and biggest way to do it."

Ticket information has not been announced.

It's as star-powered a matchup as they come: Eminem and Jay-Z, two of the top-selling music acts of the past decade, were ranked No. 1 and 2 respectively in Vibe magazine's Best Rapper Alive poll in 2008.

The Detroit-New York stand marks the biggest collaboration yet between the two. Eminem was a guest on Jay-Z's 2001 track "Renegade."

"We've done things together -- smaller shows and whatnot," said Eminem. "But I'm not sure we've ever done anything this big."

Said Jay-Z: "I look for opportunities to work with Em, any time we get a chance to collaborate on things."

The Comerica Park show will be Eminem's first full-blown concert in his hometown since an August 2005 date at the ballpark. That also turned out to be his final concert appearance for more than four years, as he slipped out of public view and into semi-retirement.

The Detroit and New York shows will follow a string of European performances for Eminem this summer, accompanying the June release of his "Recovery" album. No other U.S. dates have been announced.
Jay-Z has played a pair of Michigan shows in recent months, including a March date at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Eminem had hinted at the coming news with an overnight post on Twitter, including a cryptic double entendre that turned out to be baseball-related: "The announcement is tomorrow. It's gonna be a big 'hit.' "

The pair moved over to the Fox Sports Detroit booth for a chat with Detroit Tigers announcers Rod Allen and Mario Impemba during the top of the fourth inning.

Eminem had earlier told the ESPN crew that he was easing back into life as a baseball fan.

"I had stepped away from baseball for years," he said. "I'm getting back into it now, getting reacquainted with who's who. ... My whole career, everything's been so busy, but when I get a chance to catch up with sports, I do."

While Eminem remained in a luxury suite, Jay-Z departed during the fifth inning, quickly signing autographs on the Montcalm sidewalk before hopping into a Cadillac Escalade bound for the airport.

Game and Diddy fear Eminem

It looks like Game and even Diddy do not want to compete with the likes of Eminem. Both artists have pushed back the release date for their albums with Game pushing his by two weeks (to June 29th) while Diddy pushed his "Last Train To Paris" to the same day as rapper Game's "R.E.D." album. Eminem's upcoming "Recovery" album is set to hit stores on June 22nd. Rick Ross will drop his upcoming "Teflon Don" album, along with M.I.A.'s 3rd album, will also hit stores the same day as Game and Diddy (June 29th).

Eminem Shoots Video For Not Afraid

Eminem shot the video for his new song “Not Afraid” on the streets of Newark, New Jersey today, as people from the city watched intently.

The video was shot on Market Street, a popular strip in the city.

Em was joined by Royce Da 5' 9", longtime friend and Slaughterhouse signee.

Fans of the rapper were held at bay by police barricades and a strong security presence, which upset some of them.

However, Eminem calmed many of them simply by waving to those across the street and behind the barricades.

Clad in all black, Eminem walked up the Market Street block as a camera and crew taped his stroll. A number of people served as extras in the video.

According to sources, the crew had been there since early morning and the officers had blocked off the streets well into the afternoon while Eminem shot the video. Others, who requested anonymity, said that Eminem choose Newark because it was more lowkey than nearby New York City.

Many of the fans attempted to slip the reclusive star a CD of their demo songs, but were promptly stopped by police.

Eminem’s Recovery album is slated for a June 22 release.

Eminem Receives "Artist Of The Decade" Soundscan Award

It's no secret that Eminem is one of the top-selling rap acts of all time. But fans might be surprised to know that Slim Shady was, in fact, the top-selling act in all of music in the 2000s - surpassing pop acts like N' Sync, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Recently, Eminem was awarded the Nielsen SoundScan "Artist of the Decade Award," which recognized him for having sales exceeding 32 million units domestically (worldwide, his sales are approximated to be near 80 million). The award was presented to the multi-platinum rapper by Nielsen Entertainment President Eric Weinberg and Nielsen Entertainment's Retail Relations Vice President Chris Muratore. 2000's The Marshall Mathers LP and 2002's The Eminem Show were each certified diamond, meaning over 10 million records sold domestically. 2004's Encore sold over seven million, while 2005's greatest hits album Curtain Call nearly reached double platinum status. 2009's Relapse managed to hit platinum before the decade ended as well. In addition, Eminem was part of other high-selling projects which did not count towards his tally as a solo artist, including two platinum D12 albums in 2001's Devil's Night and 2004's D12 World. Other platinum releases included Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture 8 Mile, and Eminem Presents: The Re-Up. Below is a picture of Eminem receiving the award. Left to right: Jimmy Iovine (Chairman, Interscope Geffen A&M Records), Dr. Dre, Eric Weinberg (President, Nielsen Entertainment), Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg (back row), Chris Muratore (VP, Retail Relations, Nielsen Entertainment), Eminem, Steve Berman (Vice Chairman, Interscope Geffen A&M Records). Berman was featured in a number of skits on Eminem albums (Marshall Mathers LP, Devil's Night, Eminem Show, Relapse) as a cantankerous album executive.
