Europe is about to have a RELAPSE…Multi-platinum, Oscar and Grammy-winning rapsuperstar Eminem will descend upon European soil to headline three major festivals this summer - Scotland’s T In The Park, Switzerland’s Openair Frauenfeld and Ireland’s Oxegen - giving hundreds of thousands of fans a live dose of select tracks from his impressive catalogue.First, the hip-hop icon storms the UK, headlining the mainstage at Scotland’s T In The Park in early July. This marks Eminem's first European show in five years and his first-ever appearance at the festival. He then continues his European return with appearances at Gampel, Switzerland's Openair Frauenfeldand Dublin, Ireland's Oxegen 2010. Much like the blistering show he performed at New Orleans’ Voodoo Festin October 2009, Eminem will be performing with a live band, bringing a new and different level of intensity to his music. He will also be joined on by his group D12 all the dates.“I’m excited to get backto Europe to rock some shows,” said Eminem. “The crowds there are always big, crazy and dedicated…it’s going to be great to feel that energy again.”At the 16th annual Openair Frauenfeld, Eminem is set to share the stage with another hiphop legend, Jay-Z. His headlining set is expected to draw 40,000 fans. Marshall Mathers will also take the stage in Dublin, closing out Oxegen with a highly anticipated mainstage headline set. It's Eminem's first appearance in Ireland since his phenomenal sold out shows to over 200,000 fans in Marley Park in 2004. Eminem will follow an Oxegen tradition that's included unforgettable performances by previous headliners The Who, Muse and Kings of Leon.2009 has seen there-emergence of one of hip-hop’s finest MC’s. Ever since he returned to the game with Relapse, the biggest selling hip-hop album of last year, Eminem has made himself an unmistakable presence: from the chart topping success of the album, through live performances at the American Music Awards and the Grammy Awards, to ferocious verses on tracks with Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Drake. He also snatched up two more GrammyAwards at the 2010 ceremony, upping his total count to eleven.Since dropping his classic debut The Slim Shady LP in 1999, Eminem has sold over 75 million albumsworldwide, and over 30 million in the United States. He is the biggest selling artist of the last 10 years, a feat that resulted in him being recently named Artist of the Decade by NielsenSoundscan.

Eminem Introduces Slim Shady To The World: Wake-Up Video
Even if you're one of the best rappers alive and one of the most recognizable superstars in the music world, you have to start somewhere. On this day back in 1999, Eminem kicked off what became a dominant run through the music industry when he dropped his debut album The Slim Shady LP.
The single "My Name Is" had already been getting a ton of play on MTV and on radio (including modern rock radio, which treated "My Name Is" as a novelty record as though it were a "Weird Al" tune), so there was plenty of buzz surrounding the album by the time it dropped. Most people could see that Eminem had star power, a cheeky sense of humor and charisma to spare, but what The Slim Shady LP best revealed were Em's skills as an MC. He was able to harness Dr. Dre's production better than anybody since Snoop Dogg, and he used it to spin intricate narratives ("'97 Bonnie and Clyde"), revenge fantasies ("Brain Damage"), goofs ("My Fault") and old-fashioned battle raps ("Just Don't Give a F---").
A year later, Eminem managed to top himself with his career-defining album The Marshall Mathers LP, which better tapped into his intricate flow and bonded together his humor and his rage perfectly (for proof, you only need to hear "Stan" again). But a handful of his career highlights still live on his debut, including "Role Model." It uses a great G-funk beat that wouldn't have been out of place on Dre's 2001, and though some of the cultural references are a little bit dated (there is a nod to LL Cool J's feud with Canibus and a joke about Lauryn Hill), but the chorus still rules.

Eminem, who released his sixth studio album Relapse in 2009, will headline a British festival for the first time since Reading in 2001.

A scheduled European tour was cancelled in 2005 due to exhaustion.
Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme said: "T In The Park we've done three or four times before but we've never headlined it before.
"I think Eminem is amazing. I haven't listened to the last album much but the album before that was incredible. I've never seen him live before.
"The only problem we have is that it's world cup final weekend. If it falls on the world cup final and England happen to be there I might have to go and watch England play instead."
Tickets for this year's T In The Park go on sale at 9am on Friday 26 February.

Tony Yayo Hopes Eminem Will Join G-Unit's U.S. Tour
'It would be an honor if Em came out,' he(Tony Yayo) tells Mixtape Daily.
In a couple of weeks, the G-Unit will be heading overseas for an international tour. Come June, the 50 Cent-captained team is scheduled to do something they haven't done in quite some time: tour the United States. Although no dates or other acts have been announced for the bill, Tony Yayo is hoping at least Slim Shady will be on the road with them.
"I'm not sure if Eminem is gonna be a part of the bill," Yayo said recently in New York. "I know 50 wants to go out and do the U.S. tour. It would be an honor if Em came out. Shout to Em, the whole D12, everybody out there.
"My best experience was [the] Anger Management [3 tour] with 50 and Eminem," Yayo added. "They was killing each other on the tour, it was crazy. That was an ill tour. Em comes out, Fif comes out, D12, Proof was still alive — rest in peace to Proof. That's one of the best hype men ever."
While Yayo was fantasizing out loud, he threw another name in the mix. "You know what? I would love to see Eminem, Dre and 50 do a big tour, so I could make millions of dollars," he said. "I'll be a stagehand and work in the back. I wouldn't even care. I know I'll make a million dollars lifting stuff. It's an honor to be in their presence."
Obviously, it would be a huge undertaking to get all these guys on the road together, but Yayo and the fans can dream, can't they?
"With guys like Em and Dre and Fif, these guys got busy schedules," the Queens native said. "Em is working on another album. Fif got about 15 movies; he's working on another movie right now called 'The Gun.' Dre — come on, man, you see them Dr. Dre headphones selling like hot cakes everywhere you go. Those guys are busy guys. I feel blessed I could say that I know Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. A lot of artists beg to do a song with Eminem, beg to do a song with 50 Cent, beg to do a song with Dre — I've experienced all those worlds."
Yayo said that his new album might be called Godfather of the Ghetto, and like Lloyd Banks' next album, he wants to put it out this summer while the Unit are on tour. As for when 50 might release another LP, Tony said Fif isn't focused on that right now.
"50 is like a chameleon," Yayo said. "What I seen from Fif, he's in Will Smith mode; he's shooting movie after movie. I know he's definitely supporting me and Banks' albums."

The Alchemist Confirms Eminem Linked Up With Producers DJ Khalil & Just Blaze For 'Relapse 2' . Says The Album Is Better Than 1st 'Relapse'
Off the heels of his Grammy performance of “Forever” with Eminem, Lil Wayne, Drake and Travis Barker, XXLMag had the chance to chop it up with The Alchemist about Em’s highly anticipated new disc, Relapse 2.While the disc does not have a release date as of press time, ALC says Em is hard at work in the studio with DJ Khalil. The West Coast beatsmith has had a big year, producing standout joints for Drake (“Fear”), Clipse (“Kinda Like a Big Deal”) and Slaughterhouse (“Cuckoo”).“Khalil—who I think is like the best producer right now to me—he had been sending records to Em for a while that wasn’t like, they weren’t like clicking in,” Alchemist told XXL. “Em knew he was dope but they haven’t found the right one. And I think they found a couple joints now… the joints they have are crazy. I can’t say 100 percent [that he made the album], but I have heard at least two joints Khalil did and they’re fuckin’ stupid.”Al, who serves as the Detroit lyricist’s tour DJ, revealed that he has yet to score a beat on Em’s project. “I’m starting to be around Em and the camp more,” he said, “especially finishing these albums. Factor in Em’s sober now, it’s like that’s my man, we chop it up a lot more now…it’s like little by little I’m figuring out what I have to do to create a sound that would be Alchemist/Eminem. I didn’t get it yet.”One person that Em has been working a lot with is Just Blaze. Al gave XXL insight into their chemistry: “He clicked with Em,” he said. “It was really amazing, too. They really vibed and made some music, beyond like Just just sending him beats, it was nothing like that…I think it’s a perfect meshing of the two…If you could imagine what they could bring to the table at this point, it’s pretty close and maybe a little more.”In fact, in ALC’s opinion, the whole album is a level above the first Relapse. “He’s doing things lyrically on this album that he hasn’t done before,” he shared. “The punchline game is really back.”

DX News Bits: Raekwon, Alchemist On Relapse 2
Alchemist
Producer/rapper Alchemist says Eminem has been working with fellow West Coast producer DJ Khalil on Relapse 2.Khalil has made a name for himself in the last few years, gaining production placements on albums from Jay-Z, Game, Clipse, and 50 Cent. However, this is the first time he has worked with the Detroit emcee. “Khalil—who I think is like the best producer right now to me—he had been sending records to Em for a while that wasn’t like, they weren’t like clicking in. Em knew he was dope but they hadn’t [sic] found the right one,” Alchemist told XXLMag.com.
Over time though, Alchemist said the two artists started to see eye to eye on their work. “I think they found a couple joints now…the joints they have are crazy. I can’t say 100 percent [that he made the album], but I have heard at least two joints Khalil did and they’re fuckin’ stupid.”Along with DJ Khalil’s possible inclusion, Relapse 2 is expected to feature production from Dr. Dre, Just Blaze, and Denaun Porter.

Eminem Join “We Are the World” Remake For Haiti Relief
Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Eminem Join “We Are the World” Remake for Haiti Relief Lady Gaga, Eminem, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake and Barbra Streisand are just a handful of the 100-plus stars scheduled to take part in a re-recording of “We Are the World” to benefit Haiti, producer RedOne told Rolling Stone yesterday at the Grammys. Other artists contributing to the new “We Are the World” — a remake of the 1985 USA for Africa charity single that was co-written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie — include Celine Dion, Fergie, Wyclef, Enrique Iglesias and more musicians who attended yesterday’s 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.“I’m so delighted and so happy to get a dream call from Quincy Jones and Randy Phillips and Lionel Richie,” RedOne told RS. “I know that Lionel Richie has been asked like 150-something times to redo ‘We Are the World’ and he said no to everything until this Haiti thing happened. The moment he saw that it happened he was like, OK, ‘We Are the World.’ And to be one of the people they called to have fresh input to the song, to help produce the song — I have no words.”According to RedOne, recording of the “We Are the World” remake will take place today in a Los Angeles studio. In addition to the all-star vocal talent, RedOne promises instrumentation from the likes of Orianthi (the guitarist for Michael Jackson’s This Is It show) and other big-name musicians. The AP reports Bono, Jason Mraz and Akon are also slated to appear on the track. “With music you want to help people feel something in a certain way, and this is something devastating that just happened and I am and we are the world,” RedOne said. “We’re going to be helping people that we don’t know. I have Haitian friends and stuff like that, but we’re going to be helping people that need help right now.”
