Alchemist
Producer/rapper Alchemist says Eminem has been working with fellow West Coast producer DJ Khalil on Relapse 2.Khalil has made a name for himself in the last few years, gaining production placements on albums from Jay-Z, Game, Clipse, and 50 Cent. However, this is the first time he has worked with the Detroit emcee. “Khalil—who I think is like the best producer right now to me—he had been sending records to Em for a while that wasn’t like, they weren’t like clicking in. Em knew he was dope but they hadn’t [sic] found the right one,” Alchemist told XXLMag.com.Over time though, Alchemist said the two artists started to see eye to eye on their work. “I think they found a couple joints now…the joints they have are crazy. I can’t say 100 percent [that he made the album], but I have heard at least two joints Khalil did and they’re fuckin’ stupid.”Along with DJ Khalil’s possible inclusion, Relapse 2 is expected to feature production from Dr. Dre, Just Blaze, and Denaun Porter.
