Eminem Movie Invites Locals To Block Party

Film Chronicles Detroit Liquor Store

DETROIT, Mich. -- The filming of a local movie calls for Detroiters to represent their city at a neighborhood block party Saturday.

The film, "CornerStore," is said to have appearances by Eminem and primarily takes place at a Detroit liquor store and surrounding neighborhoods.

The block party scene shot on Saturday will showcase residents instead of extras.

To thank participants, the film crew will provide T-shirts, lunch and dessert.

The party begins at 10 a.m. at 10208 McNichols Road.
